Introduction to Library 2.0

Over the next nine weeks, the Staff Development Committee invites you to explore twenty three Web 2.0 technologies based on a program at Charlotte Mecklenburg Public Libraries. Each week will feature websites and applications that will help you get the most out of the latest wave of Internet-based systems. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about new technology!

Each week of the Library 2.0 Exploration will cover several web sites or technologies, some of which you or your peers may already be familiar with. We have a lot of tech-savvy people right here and volunteers within the Library will present training sessions to introduce that weeks technology. Attending the training session is not required to complete the week’s exploration, but it may help enhance your experience and understanding of the task.

Completing the exploration of all technologies will also earn you the recognition of being on our list of "Accomplished UNCG Library 2.0 Experts" as well as receiving a technology-related prize!
